My five year old daughter was telling me about how her mum had to lance a lump on the puppies neck.
'Mum cut the lump an' got all the bad stuff out an' my puppy's better now.' She informed me.
I looked down at the earnest little face,'So puppy's feeling better.'
She screwed up her face,'Oh daddy! You've got a lump on your neck too. Give me your knife an' I'll put a cut in it for you. I know how to do it. I watched mommy fix my puppy. Does it hurt?'
'I haven't got any lump on my neck. Show me where you think the lump is.'
She reached up and put her finger on my adams apple,'It moves around a lot. Is there something in there that's alive, Dad?'
We were up in Kuranda the other day showing a couple of visitors the sights. We'd stopped and were walking down the track through the bush towards the railway line and the Barron Falls look out. I pointed out various plants and birds to them on the way and she joined in too.
'There's a black cocatoo up there.' My daughter said
We swiveled our necks and squinted into the canopy above looking for the bird.
'I've never seen one here before.'I said becoming aware of the half dozen people behind us who were also looking for the illusive bird.
'Where did you see it, Krystal?'
Nine people looked very sheepish when a voice from down near our knee caps floated up.
'I made a little joke.' She said and hurried off down the track giggling.
I found that the cyber type of printing was by far the cheapest and best for little people as they will draw all over their books. When the graphics are ready they will be able to colour them in. You can print their names and the names of their pets in the story for them too. These can be replaced at the press of a button.
